We are looking forward to sharing our lovely community with about twenty families who are looking for the same environment we were. We already have some delightful inhabitants, incredible deer and wild turkeys. Because we will be living there too, we will be planting apple trees for the deer and bright red flowers for the hummingbird stations. We recently found a family of grouse, also. We are very proud and delighted with our wildlife. At dawn and dusk you can observe the deer, sometimes a dozen, crossing the property to Shell Creek across the road, and at dusk they come back across to bed down at night. As houses are being built, we hope to keep as much of the natural environment as untouched as possible. We lived in Beech Mountain for about ten years and only disturbed enough of the land to build the house and the driveway.
